There’s no pressure to learn everything at once. Your instructor will help you develop your skills gradually and adapt lessons if you find something particularly challenging.

From your very first lesson, you and your instructor will agree a clear goal for the session. If you don’t make progress towards that goal, we’ll either arrange another first lesson with a different instructor where possible, or refund the lesson.

Feeling nervous about learning to drive is completely normal. Our patient instructors will work at a pace you’re comfortable with and give you time to build confidence behind the wheel.

You won’t be expected to cope with everything at once. We can break driving into smaller steps, reduce the amount you have to manage and build your confidence as you go.

We’ll see what you can already do and build from there, so you’re not wasting time and money repeating things you can already handle independently.

We’ll make sure you know what you can already do, what still needs work and what you need to focus on next — so you can see whether your lessons are moving you closer to test standard.

We understand that people learn differently. If one explanation or approach isn’t working for you, we will change it, rather than simply repeating the same thing.

Our lessons focus on giving you the skills, confidence, and independence required to pass your practical test. We don’t just tick off a list of topics; we ensure you can successfully drive without help.

Never driven before? Your instructor will take you through everything gradually, starting with the basics and building your confidence as your skills develop.

Already had lessons with another instructor or returning after a break? We’ll establish where you are now and concentrate on the areas where you need more experience.

As your test approaches, lessons can focus on any gaps in your driving while helping you develop the independent driving and decision-making skills you’ll need on test day – and afterwards.

Learning locally means you can gradually experience a good mix of roads and driving situations as your confidence develops.

If you’re completely new to driving, your instructor may begin in quieter areas around New Ollerton and Walesby Lane before gradually introducing busier junctions, roundabouts and faster roads.

As you progress, local roads provide opportunities to practise different skills, including negotiating  the Ollerton roundabout and the double mini roundabout on Peafield Lane as well as dealing with changing traffic conditions.

Your lessons won’t just teach you how to handle particular local roads. You’ll learn how to assess unfamiliar situations and make safe decisions independently – skills you’ll continue to use long after you’ve passed your test.
